Tuscan Rub Fettunta

This appetizer is made from only 5 ingredients making it quick and simple to create. A fettunta is a traditional Italian appetizer originating from Tuscany where fresh garlic and herbs are used to season freshly toasted bread. We love this easy side dish for its intense flavor and little effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf sourdough bread
  • 1/4 c Bella Sun Luci Arbequina Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp sea salt
  • 5 cloves of peeled garlic
  • 3 tbsp Bella Sun Luci Tuscan Rub

Directions

  1. Slice sourdough into half inch slices. Place bread slices on cookie sheet and drizzle with 2 tbsp of olive oil. Evenly sprinkle salt over the bread.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Let the toasted bread cool slightly then rub peeled garlic over the face of the toast.
  4. Drizzle the remaining olive oil evenly over the toasted bread then shake on the tuscan rub seasoning.
